Stanley Foss Bartlett, the son of King Bartlett and Anna Foss Bartlett, was born Feb. 13, 1902, in Leeds, Maine. He attended the University of Idaho Forestry School for a time and studied briefly at the Portland Art Museum and Pratt Institute in New York. He was a poet, short story writer and photographer.
